Hello.. Today is Vishwakarma Pooja. I want to tell you something about this festival.

Vishwakarma Pooja Festival is observed on Kanya Sankranti Day on 17th September. Vishwakarma Pooja is the most secular puja in India. Vishwakarma Puja or Bishwakarma Pooja or Vishwakarmaji Jayanti is mainly observed in eastern parts of India – West Bengal, Jharkhand, Orissa, Tripura, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. 

                                         

Vishwakarma is known as the divine engineer of the world. As a mark of reverence he is not only worshipped by the engineering and architectural community but also by all professionals. It is customary for craftsmen to worship their tools in His name. As a mark of Vishwakarma festival Vishwakarmaji is worshipped by Artisans, craftsmen, Weavers, mechanics, smiths, welders, industrial workers, factory workers and workers on this day for success in their respective fields. On Vishwakarma Pooja it is customary to place special statues, pictures of Lord Vishwakarma in every workplaces and factories. All workers gather in one common place and perform the Vishwakarma pooja.
